Anyone with an interest in public education has an opportunity to engage in and contribute to the creation of a vision for the future of education. Discussion guides set the stage for some extraordinary conversations within communities across the province. People have the opportunity to participate through community engagement events taking place across the province, or through the online survey.
Teacher voices have not previously been heard as strategic plans were being developed. Recent polling shows teachers are the most highly trusted source for information about decisions concerning how students should learn. Re-Imagine Education incorporates these voices as well as their students that are integral to education, honours that public perception and gives teachers an important role in planning.
Re-imagining education is a mammoth undertaking but its value is beyond measure. The success of this endeavour depends on the participation of many. This is why we are reaching out to the broader community including students, parents, seniors, post-secondary institutions, labour groups, chambers of commerce, taxpayers and other advocacy organizations.
Education affects us all. We want to hear from you.
